Avignon gastronomic food, wine and produce tour with Chef Matt Dillow and Winemaker Ash Horner

Learn how to master some of Matt’s classic French favourites dishes while award winning winemaker Ash lines up some amazing French wines.

Tour 1
Friday 21st – Tuesday 25th August 2026

Day 1

Meet at Villa Les Lodges en Provence located 10 minutes from Avignon train station at 4pm.

Drinks and dinner while enjoying the sunset over the hills of Avignon and Fort Saint-Andre

Dinner: French onion soup, mussels and chips, assortment of French desserts

Day 2

Head into Avignon food hall to purchase beautiful fresh produce for our cooking classes. Also having a cheese and wine tasting. 

Lunch we will enjoy at the villa of cold seafood bought from the markets including Southern France oysters and beautiful champagne.

Afternoon we have a cooking class preparing our dinner of Escargots, beef bourguignon and creme brûlée. 

Breakfast: French toast and fresh fruit
Lunch: Oysters and cold seafoods
Dinner: Escargots, beef bourguignon and crème brûlée 

Day 3

Duck cooking day, morning cooking class where we make Duck liver parfait, Duck confit and a mouth watering raspberry almond frangipane tart. 

During the day we visit a local winery and enjoy lunch there also. 

Breakfast: Quiche Lorraine and fresh fruit 
Lunch: Visit local winery for tasting and lunch
Dinner: Our beautifully prepared duck dishes, Duck parfait, Duck confit, frangipane tart

Day 4

A visit to Fort Saint-Andre, local olive mill for olive oil tasting and small cooking demo from Matt using the olive oil followed by two wineries including Domaine de Romarins and Chateauneuf de pape

Afternoon cooking class to prepare dinner

Breakfast: Croissant and fresh fruit
Lunch: Duck, peach and almond salad with raspberry dressing, sauteed pommes, French dessert
Dinner: Beef tartare, Fish with dill beurre blanc, gratin dauphinois, classic French soufflé

Day 5

Visit the Village of Villeneuve-les-Avignon for a small walking tour of the city followed lunch at Maison Bronzini

Breakfast: Classic French Croque Monsieur and fresh fruit 
Lunch at Maison Bronzini with group 2 guests

After lunch head back to villa to collect bags and guests to organise transport from Villa to desired destination. Tour finishes approximately 4pm.

Tour 2
Tuesday 25th August – Saturday 29th August 2026

Day 1

Meet at Villa Les Lodges en Provence located 10 minutes from Avignon train station at 10am. Leave bags at villa and we visit the Village of Villeneuve-les-Avignon for a small walking tour of the city followed by lunch at Maison Bronzini with group 1 guests.

Dinner: French onion soup, mussels and chips, assortment of French desserts

Day 2

Head into Avignon food hall to purchase beautiful fresh produce for our cooking classes. Also having a cheese and wine tasting.

Matt’s suggestions: do two nights before or after the tour to explore Avignon. Palais Des Paper (Popes Palace), Take a tour or drive to Pont du Gard, Enjoy the many lanes of Avignon city.
